2024-25 Premier League: Week 11 – Brentford vs Bournemouth

Brentford entertain Bournemouth at Gtech Community Stadium in a mid-table Premier League contest.

Victory would put Brentford as high as ninth if Fulham lose at Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth can go seventh with a win if Fulham lose at Palace, but a two-goal or more winning margin would put them sixth until the evening at least.

Team News

Kristoffer Ajer is still ruled out for Brentford after he missed their last three matches with a foot injury.

Rico Henry (knee) could feature if he is match fit but Josh Dasilva, Igor Thiago (both knee), Gustavo Nunes (back) and Aaron Hickey (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Bournemouth could welcome Dango Ouattara back into contention after he missed their shock win over Manchester City with a knock.

Kepa Arrizabalaga (adductor) and Luis Sinisterra (knock) are doubts but Alex Scott (knee) is still sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Brentford host Bournemouth at Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday 9 November at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Still unbeaten at home this season, Brentford will be eager to bounce back from their disastrous injury-time defensive meltdown in the late loss at Fulham, but they need to show more attacking flair than they managed at Craven Cottage.

Bournemouth meanwhile have surprisingly handled their three recent tricky fixtures well, especially considering how clinical they were in home wins over Arsenal plus Manchester City plus drew at Aston Villa.

Those results are therefore no mean feat for the Cherries but Brentford are strong at home, so this could be an entertaining draw.

Prediction: Brentford 1-1 Bournemouth

Result: Brentford 3-2 Bournemouth
