2024-25 Premier League: Week Eight – Bournemouth vs Arsenal

Bournemouth host Premier League title chasing Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium.

Victory could see Bournemouth climb to tenth if results elsewhere swing in their favour, whilst Arsenal can go top until Sunday afternoon with a win.

Team News

Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 1-0 loss at Leicester, with Tyler Adams set to make his first appearance this season following a back injury.

Arsenal will be without second-choice goalkeeper, Neto who is ineligible due to being on loan from Bournemouth.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Martinelli (both calf), Jurrien Timber (muscle), Thomas Partey (unspecified), Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Kai Havertz and Ben White (both knee) face late fitness checks.

Martin Odegaard (ankle) and Kieran Tierney (hamstring) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Bournemouth host Arsenal at Vitality Stadium on Saturday 19 October at 5:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Having endured an unlucky but wasteful trip to Leicester with poor end product two weeks ago, Bournemouth need to be much sharper in converting their chances if want a result here despite liking their Saturday teatime kick-offs recently.

Arsenal meanwhile should hopefully have a strong line-up despite several players needing fitness tests, as this is one of their favourable away trips even if patience is needed like in their comeback win over Southampton.

In fact, I can see just one winner coming but if Bournemouth can play with their energetic intensity, they might just make it a closer result.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Arsenal

Result: Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal
