2024-25 Premier League: Week Seven – Chelsea vs Forest

Chelsea continue their push for the Premier League title against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Victory would see Chelsea stay fourth, whilst Forest can go sixth with a win.

Team News

Cole Palmer will return to the starting line-up for Chelsea after he was rested for the Blues’ 4-2 UEFA Conference League win over Gent.

Carney Chukwuemeka (illness) could also be available but Omari Kellyman and Reece James (both hamstring) remain sidelined.

Forest will welcome Morgan Gibbs-White back into contention, after he missed their home defeat to Fulham due to his one-match ban.

Ibrahim Sangare (hamstring) and Danilo (ankle) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Chelsea host Forest at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 6 October at 2pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

After thrashing Gent without Palmer despite conceding twice, Chelsea certainly can’t be underestimated in attack now and I do expect more of the same with Palmer back with fresh legs.

Forest meanwhile will be relieved to have Gibbs-White back because they did miss him in their narrow defeat to Fulham, but I do sense that they will need to be well-organised defensively but clinical if want a result here.

Chelsea however do seem to have hit their strides now and it is hard to see them losing here, no matter what Forest throw at them.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Result: Chelsea 1-1 Nottingham Forest
