Bromley have signed defender, Carl Jenkinson on a free transfer.
Jenkinson has become Bromley’s 11th signing of the season and adds experience to the defence, who have conceded in the Ravens’ last seven matches in all competitions.
Jenkinson’s move to Bromley also marks a return to English football for the 32 year-old, after two years in Australia with Newcastle Jets following an initial loan move to Melbourne City in January 2022 from Nottingham Forest.
Bromley have confirmed that Jenkinson will wear the number six shirt and is eligible to make his debut in the Ravens’ League 2 match at home to MK Dons.
The 32 year-old began his career at Charlton where he graduated through their youth academy, and went on to make nine senior appearances amidst loans at Welling and Eastbourne Borough.
He then went on to spend seven seasons at Arsenal during which he helped them win 2013-14 FA Cup, before he spent the next two seasons on loan at West Ham then 2017-18 campaign loaned out to Birmingham City.
Summer 2019 saw him move to Forest where he failed to score in 15 appearances, which led to a loan move to Australia’s Melbourne City in January 2022 followed by a two-season stint at Newcastle Jets.
