EFL have announced shortlists for 2024 EFL Awards with Leeds headlining the Championship nominations.

Leeds’ manager, Daniel Farke is nominated for Championship Manager of the season alongside Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna and Hull’s Liam Rosenior.

Farke took charge of Leeds last summer and have currently put the Whites second in the table behind McKenna’s Ipswich, who had only just come up from League One this season following a period sat in the third-tier.

Crysencio Summerville meanwhile is up for Championship Player of the Season, albeit against Leicester midfielder – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, plus Blackburn’s Sammie Szmodics who is currently the league’s top scorer with 23 goals.

Archie Gray meanwhile is up for Championship Young Player of the Season against Norwich’s Jon Rowe and Birmingham City’s Jordan James, whilst Gray has also been nominated for Championship Apprentice of the Season.

In the latter category, Gray faces competition from Plymouth’s Freddie Issaka and Stoke City’s Nathan Lowe.

Across in League One, John Mousinho’s reward for leading Portsmouth to the cusp of promotion is a nomination for Manager of the Season, where he faces competition from Stevenage’s Steve Evans and Peterborough’s Darren Ferguson.

Peterborough’s Harrison Burrows meanwhile headline the League One Player of the Season shortlist with five goals and 12 assists in 40 league appearances, whilst Derby’s Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Portsmouth’s Marlon Pack are also in contention.

Ronnie Edwards headlines the Young Player of the Season shortlist for Peterborough but faces competition from Blackpool’s Karamoko Dembele and Wigan’s Charlie Hughes.

Cheltenham’s Tom King faces competition from Dajaune Brown of Derby County plus Northampton’s Ruben Wyatt for League One Apprentice of the Season.

Mansfield’s Nigel Clough heads League Two’s Manager of the Season shortlist against Crewe Alexandra’s Lee Bell and MK Don’s Mike Williamson, with the latter having guided the Dons from 16th to fourth in the table since his appointment in October 2023.

Wrexham’s Elliott Lee will battle Notts County’s Jodi Jones for League Two’s Player of the Season, with Davis Kellior-Dunn also in contention after he scored 19 goals and produced nine assists for Mansfield this campaign.

Tranmere’s Rob Apter is up for League Two’s Young Player of the Season against Stockport’s Ethan Pye, whilst MK Dons’ Max Dean is also nominated after he managed 12 goals in 25 appearances.

Crewe Alexandra’s Calum Agius will take on Grimsby’s Cameron Gardner and MK Dons’ Callum Tripp for League Two’s Apprentice of the Season.

Winners of Sir Tom Finney Award, Contribution to League Football and Goal of the Season awards will be announced on the evening, as will the Teams of the Season across all three divisions.

Other categories include EFL Innovation Award, EFL Green Award, Supporter of the Season and more, with the awards ceremony taking place on Sunday 14 April.
