Roundup of the latest Premier League action as the title race blew wide open, amidst further twists in the fight for survival on a dramatic weekend.

Second-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard amidst Ibrahima Konate’s red card saw league leaders, Liverpool suffer a 3-1 defeat at Arsenal after Bukayo Saka’s opening goal was cancelled out by Gabriel’s own-goal in first-half injury-time.

Phil Foden’s comeback hat-trick saw Manchester City win 3-1 at Brentford to stay second ahead of Arsenal on goal difference, although both teams now sit two points off the summit.

Goals from John McGinn, Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey, Youri Tielemans and Alex Moreno saw Aston Villa reclaim fourth with a 5-0 win at rock-bottom Sheffield United.

Richarlison’s first-half brace wasn’t enough for Tottenham to avoid slipping to fifth following their 2-2 draw at Everton, after Jack Harrison and Jarrad Branthwaite scored for the Toffees either side of Richarlison’s goals against his former team.

Down in the relegation zone, Burnley remain second bottom after David Datro Fofana’s late brace rescued them a 2-2 draw at home to Fulham, after the Cottagers had led through Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Muniz’s first-half goals.

Luton climbed out of the bottom three at Everton’s expense with a 4-4 draw at Newcastle, having fought from behind through Gabriel Osho and Ross Barkley before Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo’s goals to put them ahead were cancelled out by Kieran Trippier and Harvey Barnes.

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s strike saw Nottingham Forest stay two points above the drop zone with a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth, after Justin Kluivert had put the Cherries into a fifth minute lead.

Matheus Cunha’s hat-trick fired Wolves to a first Premier League away win over Chelsea in a shock 4-2 victory at Stamford Bridge, after Cole Palmer had initially put the Blues in front in the 19th minute.

Rasmus Hojlund’s strike and Alejandro Garnacho’s brace saw Manchester United thrash West Ham 3-0 at Old Trafford to climb to sixth in the table.

Finally, Lewis Dunk, Jack Hinshelwood, Facundo Buonanotte and Joao Pedro all netted for Brighton in a dominant 4-1 victory at home to Crystal Palace.
