Four Key Pointers
- Despite a largely dry forecast for much of the weekend, Friday’s Qualifying session is anticipated to be wet which could mean timing the lap to perfection could be key to claiming pole position.
- Having began to find their groove again in the last two races and won here last season, Mercedes could well take the fight to Red Bull but McLaren and Ferrari will be huge threats too.
- The last two Sprints in Brazil has thrown up interesting tyre strategies between the soft and medium tyres so expect similar again, although expect hard and medium tyres to be favoured for main race
- With several slow and medium speed corners, it will be crucial to ensure that cars are set up to maximise traction but they will need to find balance for maximising straight line speed too.
