2023-24 Premier League: Week 10 – Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest

Title-chasing Liverpool face Nottingham Forest at Anfield in an exciting Premier League tie.

Victory can put Liverpool up to third for a few hours at minimum, whilst Forest can move up to 11th if Fulham lose elsewhere.

Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns to report after their Europa League win against Toulouse, as Curtis Jones serves the last match of his domestic suspension.

Andrew Robertson (shoulder), Stefan Bajcetic (calf) and Thiago Alcantara (hip) remain absent.

Forest could be without Anthony Elanga after he missed training this week due to illness.

Gonzalo Montiel (calf), Felipe (knee), Nuno Tavares, Taiwo Awoniyi (both groin), Danilo, Callum Hudson-Odoi (both hamstring) and Divock Origi (hip) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Liverpool face Forest at Anfield in a 2pm GMT kick-off on Sunday 29 October, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Yet to either draw or lose at home this season, Liverpool can come into this game with huge belief after their best performance of the campaign against Toulouse, because their attacking play was just excellent amidst a moment of poor defending which denied them a clean sheet.

Forest meanwhile will be disappointed to have drawn against Luton because their attacking play was just brilliant if let down by poor finishing, so I would like to see them bring more of the same attitude here but tighten up after they defensively switched off and conceded two sloppy late goals.

That prospect is a huge ask at Anfield though because Liverpool are a difficult team to beat on Merseyside but both teams have a habit of scoring on this turf, so I expect another fierce battle but Jurgen Klopp’s Reds should have enough quality for the win.

Prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Nottingham Forest

Result: Liverpool 3-0 Nottingham Forest
