F1 returns from the summer break with a trip to Zandvoort, Netherlands for the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix.
Home hero, Max Verstappen comes into this race with a 125 point championship lead over Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, as the 25 year-old Dutchman seeks to extend his winning run to 11 races – including sprint victories in Austria and Belgium.
Several drivers meanwhile enter this second half of the season looking to secure their spots on the grid for next season, so this is the first of a crucial final ten races of the season for many of this year’s grid.

Five Key Pointers
- Given the high-speed sweeping nature of the circuit, Zandvoort will require low downforce and top speed in order to maximise performance across a single lap.
- Having dominated F1’s last two visits to Zandvoort, Red Bull and Max Verstappen will once again be favourites coming into this weekend.
- As is traditional after the summer break, many teams will be expected to bring upgrades but some teams will of already switched focus to next season’s car and stopped adding upgrades.
- Rain is forest for parts of Saturday and Sunday which could create challenging conditions, especially in the first and final sectors with certain banked corners.
- Avoiding traffic on outlaps after pit stops will be key to executing the undercut strategy if the race is dry, whilst pit stop timing could well be key if it’s a wet race and the Safety Car is deployed.

Verstappen won his home race for the second consecutive season in 2022, after he survived a late Safety Car with a three-stop strategy to take victory from George Russell and Charles Leclerc after Lewis Hamilton was left out on medium tyres and slipped to fourth at the checkered flag.
