2022-23 Premier League: Week 34 – Bournemouth vs Leeds

Bournemouth meet Leeds United at Vitality Stadium in the race for Premier League survival.

Victory could see Bournemouth move even closer towards safety and consolidate their mid-table position, whilst Leeds can move four points clear of the relegation zone with a win.

Jack Stephens could return for Bournemouth after he was ineligible to feature in their midweek win at Southampton.

Marcus Tavernier (hamstring), Marcos Senesi  and Matias Vina (both cramp) are doubtful for selection.

Hamed Traore (foot), Ryan Fredericks (calf) and Junior Stanislas (unspecified) remain absent.

Leeds will be without Luis Sinisterra after the winger suffered a season-ending ankle injury in their 1-1 draw at home to Leicester in midweek.

Max Wober (hamstring) could return if he passes a late fitness test but Tyler Adams (hamstring) and Stuart Dallas (thigh) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Bournemouth face Leeds at 2pm on Sunday 30 April at Vitality Stadium, albeit untelevised in UK.

Prediction

Having clinched a crucial win at Southampton on Thursday evening where they were dominant with impressive game management, Bournemouth now can begin to build towards next season but they now need to correct their recent slip of their home form to boost their strong survival chances.

Leeds meanwhile are in a four-way fight to avoid one of the last two relegation spots and after conceding a sloppy equaliser against Leicester, it is imperative that they improve and avoid more wasteful end product as we saw in the second half after a clinical first-half effort.

Gary O’Neil’s Cherries though will be buoyant by how they managed Thursday’s win at Southampton but there surely will be goals in this, especially given Leeds’ strong away form in this fixture but Sinisterra is a huge loss for the visitors with various players out of form at present.

A draw therefore would be a decent result unless one team turns up with enough quality to force a winner here.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 Leeds

Result: Bournemouth 4-1 Leeds
