2022-23 Premier League: Week 30 – Fulham vs West Ham

Fulham welcome relegation battling West Ham to Craven Cottage in a London derby encounter.

Victory would see Fulham stay 10th in the table, whilst West Ham could go as high as 12th with a win depending upon results elsewhere.

Willian could return for Fulham after he was suspended for their defeat at Bournemouth last weekend.

Aleksandr Mitrovic (suspension), Layvin Kurzawa (knee) and Neeskens Kebano (Achilles) remain absent.

West Ham have no fresh injury concerns to report following their midweek loss to Newcastle.

Gianluca Scamacca (knee) remains absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Fulham meet West Ham at Craven Cottage on Saturday 8 April at 3pm BST, albeit untelevised in UK.

Prediction

With just one win in their last six matches across all competitions, Fulham are at risk of dropping out of the race for European qualification if their rut continues after blowing an one-goal lead against Bournemouth last weekend through second-half defensive errors.

Their attacking quality though isn’t really in question because various players have stepped up their performances in recent weeks, yet they really do need to cut their mistakes at the back if they’re to return to winning ways.

West Ham though need a serious performance upgrade if want anything here because their defence was purely shambolic at best, which was topped off by some poor ball control and goalkeeping to boot and David Moyes is lucky to even be still in charge for this game.

It is typical of a team though to produce a horrendous performance in one game then deliver in the next game, so I wouldn’t be surprised if West Ham go and get a result at Craven Cottage but I do expect Fulham to be much better if can tighten up defensively.

Prediction: Fulham 2-1 West Ham

Result: Fulham 0-1 West Ham
