2021-22 Premier League: Week Five – Wolves vs Brentford

Wolves welcome Brentford to Molineux in an intriguing clash as both teams look to boost their mid-table placing.

Victory could send Wolves up to ninth for at least a few hours, whereas Brentford can also go ninth with a win until Saturday teatime at minimum.

Wolves have no fresh injury concerns to report after last Saturday’s away win at Watford, as Hugo Bueno (hamstring), Jonny and Pedro Neto (both knee) are ruled out.

Brentford also boast no fresh injury concerns to report as Mads Sorensen (knee) and Josh Dasilva (hip) remain absent.

Prediction

Having endured a difficult start to the season, Wolves will be delighted with their clinical win at Watford last weekend because their end product to attacks finally paid off following hard luck with excellent movement and pace on the ball.

Brentford though just lacked the final touch in another impressive performance despite suffering a late narrow defeat to Brighton, so I do expect them to bounce back here because there are a lot of positives to take from last weekend.

Add in the fact that both teams are excellent at playing a pressing yet attack-minded style then I do feel that clinical finishing will be key, otherwise I can see a draw here.

Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Brentford

Result: Wolves 0-2 Brentford
