2020-21 Premier League: Week 35 – Leeds vs Tottenham

Leeds United welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Elland Road in the first of Saturday’s four Premier League matches.

Victory would see Leeds climb to ninth for at least 26 hours, whereas a win would see Tottenham move into fifth until at least Sunday teatime.

Raphinha could return for Leeds after a knock kept the midfielder sidelined in recent weeks.

Liam Cooper meanwhile is back in contention following completion of his three match ban, yet Kalvin Phillips (knee) is a doubt and could join Adam Forshaw and Helder Costa (back) on the sidelines.

Tottenham have no fresh injury concerns to report with Ben Davies likely to again miss out due to a calf injury suffered at end of March.

Prediction

Leeds come into this game off the back of a lacklustre performance at Brighton in which they just struggled to produced much threat on the attack, instead often doing most of the defending which was solid enough to avoid a brutal thrashing.

Tottenham on the other hand were the complete contrast because they were absolutely dominant against Sheffield United in their attacking tactics, even though they did waste numerous chances in the first half but were eventually clinical once they got ahead.

Now if Spurs turn up with another repeat performance, I can see Leeds capitulating with ease given their defensively inconsistent displays but Elland Road hasn’t been an easy place for the visitors so this might be closer than we might expect.

Prediction: Leeds United 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Result: Leeds United 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur
