2020-21 Premier League: Week 19 – Wolves vs West Brom

Wolves welcome West Brom to Molineux in a huge West-Midlands derby to kick off the latest round of Premier League action.

Wolves could climb to 11th with victory whilst West Brom look to move closer towards safety with a win despite staying second bottom, no matter what they achieve at Molineux.

Adama Traore is ruled out for Wolves after missing their midweek defeat to Everton with a hamstring injury.

Willy Boly (hamstring), Jonny (knee), Fernando Marcal (groin), Daniel Podence (calf) and Raul Jimenez (calf) remain absent.

West Brom could welcome Conor Townsend back from a knee injury, which kept the youngster sidelined for over a month.

Conor Gallagher (suspension), Karlan Grant (foot) and Hal Robson-Kanu (wrist) are ruled out.

Prediction

Wolves definitely will fancy their chances here given West Brom’s defensive issues but this is a local derby so form does partially go out of the window here, although the hosts need to improve their defending which cost them in midweek against Everton combined with poor finishing.

West Brom meanwhile were absolutely battered in their last league game by Arsenal but produced a spirited FA Cup performance, twice fighting back to eventually lose on penalties at Blackpool but they now need to take that performance and apply it in the league and particularly at home.

This therefore will definitely be an intriguing clash because I expect Wolves to come out and do most of the attacking, yet if West Brom defend resolutely then they should be able to snatch a point but I have a feeling that this will be a home win.

Prediction: Wolves 2-1 WBA

Result: Wolves 2-3 WBA
