Newcastle United look to continue a strong start to the season as they welcome Burnley to St James’ Park in Saturday Night Football.
Depending on results earlier in day, Newcastle could climb as high as fourth with a win whilst Burnley can move out of the relegation zone with at least a point.

Allan Saint-Maximin is expected to be fit for Newcastle after recovering from an ankle injury which has kept him out of recent matches.
DeAndre Yedlin (knock), Emil Krafth (hip) and Jamaal Lascelles (hamstring) face late fitness tests, whilst Martin Dubravka (heel), Ciaran Clark (thigh), Paul Dummett (hamstring) and Matthew Longstaff (thigh) aren’t expected to be available until after the international break.
Matt Ritchie (shoulder) and Dwight Gayle (knee) remain sidelined indefinitely.
Burnley could welcome Robbie Brady and Johann Berg Gudmundsson back from respective rib and knee injuries.
Jay Rodriguez (ankle) is unlikely to feature but could be ready for after the international break alongside Jack Cork (ankle) and Ben Mee (thigh).
Matt Lowton is sidelined with a knock suffered in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup loss to Manchester City.

Prediction
After a bright start at West Ham a few weeks ago, Newcastle have been quite inconsistent across league and Carabao Cup which is slightly worry but I feel like this is typical Newcastle which make predictions difficult plus they needed penalties to defeat Newport on Wednesday.
Burnley meanwhile will be disappointed to crash out of the Carabao Cup to Man City that same evening but Sean Dyche has managed his squad during this hectic period, although now is the time to start pushing without any distractions and show their attacking edge more.
Either way, this should be a competitive encounter between two solid mid-table teams but if Newcastle can show more of their attacking quality, they should edge this given the Clarets’ poor away record at St James’ Park.
