2019-20 Premier League: Week 38 – Leicester City vs Manchester United

Leicester City welcome Manchester United to the King Power Stadium in a winners take all clash in the race for a top four finish.

A win for Leicester or Man Utd would see either team guaranteed a top four finish, although a draw could see both secure third and fourth if Chelsea lose to Wolves.

Marc Albrighton could return for Leicester if he passes a late fitness test on a knock which sidelined him for the Foxes’ last two matches.

Caglar Soyuncu (suspension), Christian Fuchs (groin), Ben Chilwell (foot), James Maddison (hip) Daniel Amartey (ankle) and Ricardo Pereira (knee) remain absent.

Man Utd could welcome Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly back from respective ankle and head injuries if both defenders pass late fitness tests.

Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe however continue to remain sidelined with unspecified injuries.

Prediction

This is simply winners takes all in the race for a top four finish because whoever loses this will miss out on Champions League football, although a draw could still see both qualify if Chelsea loses to Wolves.

I therefore expect both teams to go for it here because only a win will realistically do for both clubs to be sure of a top four result, especially without fans present to provide an indication of how Chelsea are doing elsewhere.

Leicester however have been defensively poor in last few weeks whilst Man Utd seem to have run out of steam in this past week, so a draw would seem likely but if the Foxes play like they did in their last home game then they might just edge this battle.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Manchester United

Result: Leicester City 0-2 Manchester United
