2019-20 Premier League: Week 10 – Brighton vs Everton

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Everton to the Amex Stadium in a huge bottom of table clash, as just one point separates these sides coming into the weekend.

The Seagulls could leapfrog Everton with a home win whereas the Toffees could climb into the top ten if they take victory and other results go their way.

Aaron Mooy is ruled out for Brighton after being sent off at Aston Villa last weekend, following two yellow card bookings.

Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo are still absent with knee injuries and won’t be available until after the November international break.

Everton could have Fabian Delph available after failing to prove his fitness ahead of last weekend’s home win over West Ham, following a recent thigh injury.

Morgan Schneiderlin is also set to be available after overcoming an undisclosed injury, although Yerry Mina is a doubt with a knee injury but will be handed a late fitness test.

Cenk Tosun (groin) and Jean-Phillipe Gbamin (muscular) are definitely ruled out.

Form

Brighton come into this match with five points from their last five league games, although they are unbeaten in three of their four home games (W1, D2, L1).

Everton ended a four match losing league run last weekend with a home win over West Ham, but have taken just a single point from four away games this season.

Prediction

Brighton are showing some nice progress and if Mooy hadn’t been sent off, they would of probably beaten Villa because they seemed solid absolutely all over the pitch even after his red card.

Everton meanwhile need to raise their game from last weekend’s confidence boosting home win if want to challenge for Europe, particularly because their away form has been dire which will please Brighton who will definitely sense a victory here.

I however can see a scrappy match like in their last meeting here but if both teams can be clinical with at least one of their shots, this should be a nice draw.

Prediction: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Everton

Result: Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 Everton
