A dramatic penultimate week of the 2018-19 Sky Bet Championship season saw promotion and relegation confirmed, whilst a three way fight for the final play-off spot was set up for the final day.

Middlesbrough sandwiches the pair by a point in seventh after coming from behind to beat Reading 2-1 at home, through goals from Lewis Wing and Britt Assombalonga.

Swansea and Birmingham City both blew leads at home to draw 2-2 and 1-1 respectively against Hull and Wigan.
QPR suffered a third consecutive defeat after Karim Ansarifard’s 55th minute strike proved the difference for Nottingham Forest.
Finally, Bolton’s clash with Brentford was postponed after the Trotters’ players decided to strike over unpaid wages.
