2018-19 Premier League: Week 36 – Leicester City vs Arsenal

Leicester City kick off this weekend’s Super Sunday as they welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium for a crucial clash.

Victory for Leicester will send them eighth and three points behind Wolves in the race for seventh, whilst Arsenal can go fourth for at least a few hours if can take all three points.

Leicester have no fresh injury concerns as captain, Wes Morgan is available after missing the 2-2 draw at West Ham last weekend for personal reasons.

Daniel Amartey (ankle) and Matty James (fitness) remain long-term absentees for the Foxes.

Arsenal could have Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang available after recovering from sinus surgery which kept him out of Wednesday’s 3-1 defeat at Wolves.

Aaron Ramsey is absent with a hamstring injury but could return for the Gunners’ final game of season at Burnley.

Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Denis Suarez (groin) are all ruled out for the foreseeable future.

Form

Leicester enter this match with 13 points from their last six matches and three wins from their last four home games.

Arsenal meanwhile have taken just a single win from their last four league games but away from the Emirates in 2019, they have taken just seven points from seven league matches on the road.

Prediction

I am going for a goalfest here because both teams aren’t the best defensively but Arsenal are a mess defensively, especially when it comes to marking at set pieces.

Improvement therefore is a must here but with Valencia to come on Thursday in Europa League, I wonder if Unai Emery’s thoughts might be elsewhere.

Prediction: Leicester City 3-2 Arsenal

Jake predicts: Leicester City 1-2 Arsenal

Result: Leicester City 3-0 Arsenal
