2018-19 FA Cup: Fifth Round – AFC Wimbledon vs Millwall

AFC Wimbledon welcome Millwall to Kingsmeadow for a London derby in this FA Cup fifth round clash.

Having knocked out Premier League’s West Ham and Everton in the last round, both teams will be desperate to keep their cup runs going here with a spot in the last eight at stake.

Team news

AFC Wimbledon have no major injury concerns to report as January signings, Michael Folivi  and Shane McLoughlin look set to feature after making their debuts in midweek.

Millwall will hand Tom Elliot and Lee Gregory late fitness tests as they battle respective illness and calf injuries in a race to make the squad.

Ben Marshall, Ben Thompson and Fred Onyedinma are all cup-tied whilst Conor McLaughlin and Ben Amos are back training after a quad issue and finger injury respectively.

Tom Bradshaw is still ruled out indefinitely with a knee injury.

Prediction

Although AFC Wimbledon have lost both previous cup meetings with Millwall, they will be confident of causing a cupset after thumping West Ham here a few weeks ago.

Millwall likewise would of taken confidence from just one loss in their last five. Three of those though have been draws so feel that this might be a tough clash which goes the distance.

I am going for a draw here but home advantage might just given AFC Wimbledon the edge on penalties.

Prediction: AFC Wimbledon 1-1 Millwall (AFC Wimbledon to win on penalties)

Result: AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Millwall
