Having thrashed Burton Albion 9-0 a fortnight ago, Man City enter the second leg virtually assured of their place at Wembley next month.

Burton could be without Scott Fraser and Jamie Allen for this second leg due to respective knee and ankle injuries.

New signings, Josh Clarke and Colin Daniel are also ruled out but for different reasons. Clarke is cup-tied due to having featured for Brentford earlier in season, whilst Daniel is ineligble due to having joined after the first leg.

Manchester City could hand left-back, Benjamin Mendy a run out after a nee injury kept the Frenchman out for past two months.

Vincent Kompany is also set to feature after recovering from a muscular injury whilst Kevin De Bruyne is set to start, having managed a full match for the first time this season on Sunday against Huddersfield.

Claudio Bravo is City’s only definite absentee as he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles Tendon.

Prediction

We should hopefully see a better performance from Burton here but Man City will again be beyond the Brewsters’ ability.

On plus side, the score should be more respectable than from the first leg given that City have another cup game at weekend.

Prediction: Burton Albion 0-5 Manchester City

Result: Burton Albion 0-1 Manchester City (Manchester City win 10-0 on aggregate)
